Woke up in the van at
7am, it was already hot, so I went back into the hotel room where Gizz was still snoring.
We are high in the Rocky mountains surrounded by shear slopes and forests. Breakfast, at
the restaurant across the road, was grave as usual but we did have time to hit Safeway's
to get food for a picnic. Set off west, briefly stopping at a rest area to eat salad,
olives bread and humous, before continuing through more thunderstorms and lightning until
we reached the sea of lights which was Las Vegas. Gizz took over driving and we slept at
the house of a friend of his.
