We got to the show early enough to set up and change strings. The Fireside Bowl is a bowling alley that holds gigs at the top end. The Suspects and the Goons opened again, the Suspects were good but I missed the Goons as we went out for food. Anti-Flag went down ok and The Old Man (Chicago based DJ and Zine editor), sung a song with them. We had the usual chaos on stage, Carly was moving around a bit now but I was really restricted by people who had spilled onto the stage. When we came back for the encore I fixed the problem by ripping the stage to pieces. After the show we went to a bar (Woppy do) where Charlie got drunk again and wouldn’t leave. Dave wanted to quit the tour, he’s still feeling ill and was ready to get in the next taxi to the airport. We finally got out at 2.30 am and went to the home of Tez (Ex Discharge drummer, ex Broken Bones bass player, Ministry guitarist and frequent UK Subs member over the last ten years). Tez managed to set his bathrobe on fire while he was cooking and ended up naked outside in the rain stomping the flames out. I slept in the shuttle in his drive at 4.00am.
