Dave drove at 9.00 am
until 11.00 am, when we stopped to eat. I went into a salad bar which offered 10% discount
with a church bulletin. Alvin was supposed to meet a friend tonight but she couldn’t
make it. I felt bad for him because we could all use a pick-me-up right now, and he’d
been looking forward to meeting her all week. We have to pick up the new roadie at the
airport tomorrow as he’d missed his flight. We arrived at the Syrian Lebanese
American club to find that the club had been moved to club Z across town (Actually a
better club). The show was up against a big ska show down the road and the club was empty, maybe 60 people. We did ok but I’m still worried about my guitar sound. After we loaded the gear out, the club turned into a Goth club, a genre which still seems to be hanging in there, although there were hardly any people there. Earlier I’d found a Lebanese store and got some arabic food (I’m set for a couple of days), but cut my finger shredding lettuce. During the show the cut opened up and my guitar got soaked in blood. |
