01. A Massive Return 02. Set List
|
Charlie, Alvin and
Kevin came out of the house with stories of a stinking house with dog shit everywhere and
the people who lived there rolling joints all night - yes a bunch of hippy drug addicts.
This was definitely a low spot in the tour. We left for New Orleans at 10.30am without
Dave who did not answer his pager. We contacted Dave halfway to New Orleans from a rest
stop and he said hed meet us at the show. Kevin did the drive although he was hung over! We were all disappointed in how he was working out. Load in at the club was through a hatch at head height situated off a beautiful tree lined street with huge colonial houses. After the gear was loaded in we checked into a motel. I had a shower then returned to the club. The Opening band One Common Voice were good. Anti-Flag went down great - their best show yet with three encores. Kevin however was drunk again. He simply cant handle the tour! He plugged the speakers into the wrong jack sockets, as he attempted to work with a cigarette in one hand and a beer in the other all night. He then started arguing with the promoter about the lack of beer for the band (Which was really for him), it was very embarrassing. When we went on stage he was still in the dressing room drinking. So when I broke a string I had no guitar! I confronted him and told him he had to stop drinking, he was unable to do so, so I fired him and we sent him home, via Greyhound, that night from the hotel where he was in a pathetic drunken, stoned stupor. Someone tried to break into Alvins room during the night. |
