01. A Massive Return 02. Set List
|
Dave ended up doing a mammoth drive and stopped at 7.00 am
which gave us a great start. Anti-Flag were behind us the whole way with (mostly) Carly
the merchandise girl driving. We are now paying Carly to do our merchandising as well. New
roadie Kevin took over driving at 7.00 am (After a cigarette - he and Carly are the only
ones who smoke). Kevin is already feeling sick. The dust storms are behind us now,
but we keep seeing dust devils moving across the fields. Just before the San Angelo exit
Anti-Flag were pulled over by the cops, we kept going. The temperature continued to drop
as we traveled further into Texas and it became quite chilly. The Orbit room is typical of the small clubs in this region. It didnt seem very full until Anti-Flag were finishing up. They played well, but again the guitars were too low out front. When we played the room filled up nicely and we had a great gig. Alvin was on form again, but for the second night in a row he fell on his ass. I ended up in the roof rafters of the building playing upside down. At the end Matthew McCoy an ex Subs drummer played a couple of numbers. Hes a great guy and a good drummer, but I felt the set went a little flat when he was playing because we were playing old songs which kind of bore me. Got to the motel at 4.00am. I slept in the Shuttle.
