01. A Massive Return 02. Set List
|
Dave is sick with a
head cold so I drove the next five hours. We took a detour to check out the Arizona
meteorite crater. It didnt look as big as in photos but it was incredibly windy. We
drove on through high winds and dust storms for six hours, stopping once at a truck stop
for a snack. We didnt do a sound check when we arrived in Albequerque, NM, but went
to eat at a bakery. Our new roadie Kevin arrived from Milwaukee via bus and helped with
the load in. He plays bass in a band called Billy Club which features Carl (ex
UK Subs and Exploited), it was a relief to get some help. The first band up were kind of Death metal industrial. OK I guess. The Descendents were playing just a few doors away on the same street, but finished early. By the time we went on the place was packed. The first half of the set went well, but halfway through a big fight broke out and the cops came. The reaction was great and the promoter claimed it was the best show to come through in years. After the show we unwound in the club for a while, Charlie left with a couple of women, the rest of us went back to the Motel at 3.00am.
